So over the past few weeks I went a bit nuts buying/getting makeup. I bought some of it with my money, some of it with birthday giftcards, and a lot of it I got from my LustHaveIt monthly subscription box! So buckle up and get ready for some serious makeup porn.
BH Cosmetics – I freaking LOVE everything I bought from here! I think it was $30 total, and I got a free eyeshadow pallette.
First of all… these brushes. Holy shit. They are freaking incredible! The are beautifully soft and don’t shed at all; if you’re looking for new brushes definitely check these out!
Next up I purchased the 28 colour lip palette, basically because of Shaaanxo’s swatch video. And. I. Fucking. Love. It. Each lipstick is super creamy and I love the colours! If you want to check out the swatch video, here is it 🙂
I also bought the BH Cosmetics eyebrow pencil, which has a hard pencil at one end and a spooly on the other. This is freaking fantastic, the best eyebrow product I’ve ever used! With this order, I got a free palette which is the ‘Wild at Heart’ baked eyeshadow palette. I love the gold colours in this, and they’re surprisingly pigmented. Unfortunately, they’re all shimmery so you need some mattes with it, but who cares, it was free!
The eyelash curler pictured is my new love from The Face Shop – an amazing Korean brand. I love this curler even though I normally prefer the ones with springs, but this is super gentle and works damn wonders!
I also went a bit nuts at Mecca Cosmetica…
Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Pressed Powder – THE BEST SETTING POWDER I HAVE EVER USED! It’s super fine, sets your makeup all day, and has a beautiful finish that isn’t matte at all. I love it!
Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer – This is beautiful for both bronzing and contouring on my uber-fair skin. Definitely go in and try it on if you can never find a good bronzer.
Smashbox Concealer – this is a great, high coverage concealer. HOWEVER, I get really annoyed at how it doesn’t have a doefoot applicator, and for that reason I probably wouldn’t repurchase considering how expensive it is 😦
Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Pure Zen – I bought this for my dad’s wedding as a nude, and it lived up to my expectations of a Mac lispstick. This is my first ever Mac product and I am definitely impressed – the only downside is that, due to the cremesheen formula, it needs to be reapplied quite often. It’s so pretty though, it’s worth it!
Love you guys,
