Today I’m sharing one of my favourite Christmas recipes. Even though it’s 35C here most days, this hot chocolate is just too delicious to refuse. Peppermint and white chocolate is a perfect match, but you could always swap out the white chocolate for milk or dark, and the milk for almond or soy – it’s totally up to you.
-1/2 white chocolate drops
-milk for 2 cups
-toppings e.g. whipped cream, crushed candy canes
-Place the milk in a saucepan over low/medium heat and stir in the white chocolate drops until they are melted and combined with the milk
-Add a couple of drops of peppermint essence to taste. About 3 drops for two cups is enough.
-Continue to stir the mixture until it is all combined and the milk has sufficiently warmed up.
-Transfer the mixture to your favourite Christmas mug and top with whatever you like! I prefer mine as is, but a bit of whipped cream never hurt anyone!
